Terms & Conditions

Remote-how is an online platform that matches candidates with companies based on data from the candidate’s profile and requirements for the job position that the company has filled out. Candidates and companies can see which job positions/candidates best match their skills/requirements.

When signing up to Remote-how and using the website you agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by the Terms and Conditions of the service. If you do not agree to the Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy, then you should not use the website or sign up for the Remote-how platform. By accessing the service you consent to Remote-how processing all personal data that’s provided by you. You confirm that all data provided by you is truthful, accurate and currently correct.

 

Definitions

 

Site – Website available at https://match.remote-how.com/.

Candidate – Each person visiting the website, signing up to the platform as a Candidate.

Employer – Each employer visiting the website, signing up to the platform as an Employer.

User – An Employer or Candidate signed up to Remote-how.

Request Contact – Both the Employer and the Candidate can request contact if the other party meets their requirements.

Accept/Reject Contact Request – The party who receives a Contact Request can accept or reject it.

Share Contact Data – Only after accepting the contact request is the Contact Data shared with the other party.

 

Candidate

Registration 

In order to use the Remote-how platform as a candidate, you must sign up and create a profile.  During the registration process, you are required to provide us with information such as your full name, email address, educational background, employment history, work experience and skill set. Moreover, you agree to provide us with any other documents that we may request, such as a resume. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to accept or reject your registration to use our platform. After the registration you must provide accurate, honest and up to date information about yourself. If we see that the information provided is inaccurate or you have created duplicate accounts, we reserve the right to terminate your account without notice.

You as the Candidate: 

  • agree not to create an account using a false identity or information, or on behalf of someone other than yourself. 
  • agree that you shouldn’t have more than one account. 
  • agree not to create an account or use the website if you have been previously removed by Remote-how, or if you have been previously banned from our website.
  • agree not to access, copy, or otherwise use the Site, including our intellectual property and trademarks. 
  • agree to not copy, distribute, or disclose any part of the website.

 

Candidate’s Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • all activities that occur with your account whether performed by you or a third party.
  • acting reasonably and responsibly with others, within the bounds of decency and in compliance with all applicable laws. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Remote-how platform if you violate any of the Terms and Conditions or any applicable laws. 

You cannot stalk, harass, bully or harm others, impersonate any person or entity, hack, spam, phish or otherwise provide untruthful, false, fraudulent or manipulative content.

 

Data

By registering with Remote-how you agree to share your profile with Employers registered with Remote-how. The profile consists of personal and non-personal data provided within the profile or contained within documents saved in the account (for example in your CV). A registered Employer is able to see your profile with data such as your first name, last name, link to LinkedIn profile, skills, CV,  etc.

Your salary expectations (minimal annual salary you will be satisfied with) is used only to match you with job positions and is not visible to the Employer. 

Contact data will be shared only if you accept a Contact Request from an Employer. If you decline the request, the Employer will not receive your contact data, even when your contact data has been placed on any Resume you provided to us. You must accept or decline each contact request separately.

By using our website and registering to the Remote-how platform, you consent to an Employer and Remote-how’s use of information or data provided by or concerning you: 

  • to collect and analyze the data and any other data relating to the provision, use and performance of these Terms and Conditions, the Remote-how Platform and related systems and technologies; 
  • to use the data to improve and enhance the Remote-how Platform or for other development, diagnostic, and corrective purposes in connection with these Terms and Conditions or any other business of Remote-how; 
  • to disclose such information and data solely in aggregate or other de-identified forms in connection with Remote-how’s businesses. The company won’t see your contact data until both sides (candidate and company) match.

 

Permission to work

The Candidate must be eligible to work in the country that they are domiciled in at the point of profile registration with Remote-how. Verified Passport and Visa documentation may be requested by potential employers directly to candidates during the interview process. 

The candidate and the employer are responsible for ensuring that the candidate is authorized to work in the country or region specified in the offer of employment. 

 

Remote-how responsibilities

Remote-how is not responsible as an employer. All offers and acceptances are between candidates and employers and Remote-how will not be liable for any disagreement or dispute between the two parties.

Remote-how is not responsible for any false claims and statements of candidates or companies. 

 

Changes 

In case of changes made, Remote-how will make a new copy of the Terms and Conditions available on the website. The “Last Updated” date at the top of the Terms and Conditions will also be changed. In case of any material changes to use the Service, Remote-how may also send an email to a candidate to the last e-mail address provided. Any changes to the Terms and Conditions will be effective immediately for new users of the website and will be effective thirty (30) days after posting notice of such changes on the website for existing users. If a candidate doesn’t agree to these changes, they have to stop using the website. Continuous use represents acceptance of the new terms. A candidate is responsible for regularly checking the terms and conditions on the website.

 

The email address provided to Remote-how

You are responsible for providing Remote-how with your most current email address. In the event that the last email address you provided to Remote-how is not valid, or for any reason is not capable of delivering to you any notices required or permitted by these Terms and Conditions, your account may be suspended without prior notice. 

 

Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute arising between the candidate and the company in connection with these Terms and Conditions, the Parties shall attempt to amicably resolve the dispute. 

Any other dispute shall be referred to and finally determined by binding and confidential arbitration. You are thus giving up your right to go to court or to assert or defend your rights aside from arbitration. You and Remote-how must abide by the following rules that any claim brought by the company or by the candidate must be brought in an individual capacity – not consolidated claims and any arbitrator can act only once for one person’s claim and cannot award to multiple claimants. No award can be greater than the fee paid by the client at the standard rate.

 

Non-waiver

We reserve all rights permitted to us under these Terms and Conditions as well as under the provisions of any applicable law. Our non-enforcement of any particular provision or provisions of this Agreement or any applicable law will not be construed as our waiver of the right to enforce that same provision under the same or different circumstances at any time in the future.

 

Confidentiality

Remote-how and the Candidate each recognize that each Party’s Confidential Information constitutes highly valuable and proprietary confidential information. The Parties agree, to the extent permitted by law, to keep this information confidential.  Neither Remote-how nor the candidate shall use the Confidential Information of the other Party for any purpose whatsoever. 

 

Termination

We may suspend our service or your account, at our discretion without explanation and notice, though we will try to provide an explanation in most cases. In the event of a breach of any terms or obligations, payment terms or obligations, or any other policy, with respect to the use of the platform, we will notify you of such breach and in such a case when the breach can be cured, provide you with thirty (30) days to cure such breach. If such breach remains uncured, we will terminate our account with you. 

If you wish to terminate your account, you may do so by notifying Remote-how at any time and closing your account for the platform. Your notice should be sent in writing to admin@remote-how.com.Termination of the account on the platform will result in the immediate deletion of any of your data from our platform. 

 

Obligations transfer

You may not sell, transfer, or assign your rights and/or obligations under this Agreement to any other party without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and/or obligations under this Agreement to any other party at our discretion.

 

Electronic Communications

The communications between you and Remote-how use electronic means, whether you visit the website or send Remote-how emails, or whether Remote-how posts notices on the website or communicates with you via email. 

Thus you consent to receive communications from Remote-how in an electronic form; and agree that all terms, conditions, agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that Remote-how provides to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications would satisfy if they were in writing. 

Communication from Remote-how can be divided into two kinds:

  • Marketing – you can unsubscribe at anytime.
  • Transactional – You may withdraw your consent to receive transactional emails by sending notice by email to admin@remote-how.com. The notice must include your name and address and shall expressly state that you are revoking your consent under these Terms and Conditions for Remote-how to email. You should keep in mind that after withdrawing your consent to transactional emails, your account on the Remote-how platform will be deleted as we won’t be able to provide you with any service. 

 

Employers

Registration

As an Employer, you have the opportunity to search for qualified talent and reduce the costs involved with hiring and retaining such talent. You can submit an interview request for Candidates on our platform that you feel may be a fit for your company. However, these requests are non-binding and do not create a binding contract. After your request, a Candidate has to accept the contact request so that you can receive their contact information. You should do a background check of any Candidate in accordance with your own employment specific agreements and contracts.

In order to use the Remote-how platform as an Employer you must sign up and create a profile.  When registering we will ask you for additional information related to your company and the types of candidates you are looking for. All information that you provide to us during the registration process will be reviewed and we may add additional information about your company that is publically available, such as but not limited to logos and web links.

During the registration process, you agree to provide accurate and honest information on the forms and maintain and promptly update the Registration Data to keep it true, accurate, current and complete. 

You: 

  • agree not to create an account using a false identity or information, or on behalf of someone other than yourself. 
  • agree that you shouldn’t have more than one account. 
  • agree not to create an account or use the website if you have been previously removed by Remote-how, or if you have been previously banned from our website.
  • agree not to access, copy, or otherwise use the Site, including our intellectual property and trademarks. 
  • agree to not copy, distribute, or disclose any part of the website
  • agree not to save any data of Candidates on your devices without Candidate consent (which means the Candidate has to accept your Contact Request First)
  • agree not to contact any Candidate using contact data that could be found in their Resume. The only way to contact a Candidate is to request contact and wait for Candidate approval.

 

Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

The Candidate and the Employer are responsible for ensuring that the Candidate is authorized to work in the country or region specified in the offer of employment. No liability for false statements can be referred to Remote-how in any circumstances.

 

Remote-how responsibilities

Remote-how is not responsible as an employer. All offers and acceptances are between candidates and employers and Remote-how will not be liable for any disagreement or dispute between the two parties.

Remote-how is not responsible for any false claims and statements of candidates or companies. 

 

Termination

If you wish to terminate your account, you may do so by notifying Remote-how at any time and closing your account for the platform. Your notice should be sent in writing to company@remote-how.com. Termination of the account on the platform will result in the immediate deletion of your data from our platform. 

 

Further Limitations

Our licensors and service providers will have no liability of any kind under this Agreement. You may not bring any claim under this Agreement more than twelve (12) months after the action arises.

 

Confidentiality

Remote-how and the Employer each recognize that each Party’s Confidential Information constitutes highly valuable and proprietary confidential information. The Parties agree, to the extent permitted by law, to keep this information confidential.  Neither Remote-how nor the Employer shall use any Confidential Information of the other Party for any purpose whatsoever.

 

Copyright

You are responsible for posting information which does not infringe copyright. Any infringement may result in the content being removed from the site. Remote-how is not liable for any third party infringement.
